Description
A little piece of the winter woodland, gathered around the warmth of Christmas candlelight.
Bring the quiet beauty of the Irish countryside into your home this Christmas with The Christmas Woodland Gathering – Pillar Candle Centrepiece.
Inspired by woodland walks, fallen pine cones, fragrant evergreens and the natural textures of winter, this beautifully rustic Christmas arrangement captures everything we love about the festive season.
At its heart sits a single elegant ivory pillar candle, surrounded by a generous, circular gathering of fresh fir, pine, eucalyptus, dried orange slices, natural pine cones, decorative lotus heads, cinnamon sticks and delicate winter branches.
Rich forest greens, warm earthy browns, soft silvery foliage and touches of dried citrus create a wonderfully natural Christmas colour palette.
There are no bright baubles or glittering decorations here. Instead, this arrangement celebrates the simple beauty of natural materials, thoughtfully gathered and arranged in our signature loose, abundant Forest Green style.
Individually handcrafted by our florists in Dún Laoghaire, each centrepiece is full of character, texture and seasonal charm.
A Natural Woodland Christmas Centrepiece
The Christmas Woodland Gathering is designed for those who love a more natural approach to Christmas decorating.
Its beautifully rounded shape creates a full, generous arrangement, with fresh greenery spreading outwards from the central candle.
Rather than a perfectly formal wreath, the design has an organic, woodland-inspired appearance. Twiggy branches extend naturally through the foliage, eucalyptus leaves add softness, and pine cones and dried botanicals create layers of rich winter texture.
The arrangement features a beautiful selection of seasonal materials, including:
- One elegant ivory pillar candle
- Fresh fir, pine and seasonal evergreen foliage
- Natural pine cones in assorted sizes
- Dried orange slices
- Decorative lotus heads
- Fragrant cinnamon sticks
- Eucalyptus and silvery-green foliage
- Bare winter twigs and woodland branches
- Delicate dried seed heads and seasonal botanicals
- Soft cream and neutral winter accents
Every element has been chosen to complement the natural woodland colour palette.
The deep green foliage brings freshness and fullness, while the dried orange, cinnamon and pine cones introduce the warm, familiar textures of Christmas.
As each arrangement is handcrafted using seasonal materials, individual ingredients may vary slightly. We will always maintain the natural colours, generous shape and rustic woodland character of the design.
A Beautifully Rustic Christmas Candle Arrangement
There’s something particularly inviting about candlelight at Christmas.
A single ivory pillar candle rises from the centre of the arrangement, creating a simple, elegant focal point among the rich winter greenery.
The combination of soft candlelight, fresh foliage and natural decorations brings a warm, welcoming feeling to any festive setting.
With its circular shape, The Christmas Woodland Gathering is particularly lovely for:
- Christmas dining tables
- Coffee tables and side tables
- Kitchen islands
- Hallway and entrance displays
- Festive console tables
- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations
- Rustic and woodland-inspired Christmas interiors
Its understated colour palette works beautifully with wooden furniture, natural linen, neutral ceramics and traditional Christmas greenery.
Whether placed at the centre of a family table or displayed in a cosy corner of your home, this arrangement brings a little woodland magic indoors.
Inspired by the Irish Woodlands in Winter
The Irish countryside is especially beautiful at Christmas.
Evergreen branches bring colour to the winter landscape, while bare twigs, fallen pine cones and delicate seed heads create the wonderfully earthy textures of the season.
The Christmas Woodland Gathering takes its inspiration from this natural winter beauty.
Fresh fir and pine provide rich green colour and a lovely seasonal fragrance. Eucalyptus adds a softer, silvery tone, while dried orange slices and cinnamon bring warmth and traditional Christmas character.
Natural pine cones, lotus heads and textured branches give the arrangement its distinctive woodland appearance.
The result is a Christmas centrepiece that feels relaxed, authentic and beautifully connected to nature.
Rustic, abundant and wonderfully natural — Christmas, the Forest Green way.

Does the arrangement include the pillar candle?
Yes. One ivory pillar candle is included in the centre of the arrangement.
Is this arrangement round or rectangular?
This is a round Christmas centrepiece, designed around a single central pillar candle. For a larger, elongated arrangement, see our Christmas Woodland Gathering – 4 Candle Table Centrepiece.
What colours are used?
The arrangement features deep forest greens, warm natural browns, muted orange, silvery eucalyptus and soft cream accents. It has an understated, earthy woodland colour palette.
Does it contain fresh flowers?
This design focuses primarily on fresh evergreen foliage and natural woodland materials rather than traditional cut flowers. Delicate seasonal botanical accents may be included depending on availability.
Will my arrangement look exactly like the photograph?
Each centrepiece is individually handcrafted using fresh and natural seasonal materials. Some ingredients may vary slightly, but we will maintain the same circular shape, earthy colours and woodland-inspired style.
Where can I display the arrangement?
Its round shape makes it suitable for dining tables, coffee tables, side tables, kitchen islands, entrance tables and other festive home displays.
How long will the arrangement last?
With appropriate care, the fresh evergreen foliage can remain attractive throughout much of the festive season. Keep the arrangement in a cool location, away from radiators, direct heat and strong sunlight.
Can I light the pillar candle?
The candle is primarily a decorative feature. If you choose to light it, ensure the flame is completely clear of all foliage, twigs and dried decorations. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and extinguish it well before the flame approaches any surrounding materials. Dried botanicals are flammable; if safe clearance cannot be maintained, leave the candle unlit.
