CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Light: Anthuriums prefer bright, indirect light. Place them near a window where they can receive plenty of filtered sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch their leaves.
- Temperature: Keep Anthuriums in a warm, humid environment. They thrive in temperatures between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). Avoid exposing them to temperatures below 50°F (10°C), as they are sensitive to cold.
- Watering: Water your Anthurium thoroughly but allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it’s important to avoid keeping the soil soggy. Use room temperature water and ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging.
- Humidity: Anthuriums enjoy high humidity levels. Mist the leaves regularly or place the plant on a humidity tray filled with pebbles and water to increase humidity around the plant.
- Pruning: Remove any dead or yellowing leaves regularly to maintain the plant’s appearance and overall health. Trim faded flowers at the base of the stem to encourage new blooms.
- Potting: Repot your Anthurium every 2-3 years or when it outgrows its current pot. Use a well-draining potting mix with plenty of organic matter, such as orchid or African violet mix.
